("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when weuse the Pathful Explore program with students.

What this privacy policy covers

​

Real Life Learning NFP takes your privacy seriously. Pathful, Inc. is the Service Provider and isa cloud-based college and career readiness platforms. Real Life Learning’s services are provided using the software as a service to schools, colleges, non-profits, career centers, workforce agencies, after school centers and organizations serving a multitude of youth and adult populations.Personal information is information about an identifiable individual like your name or email address that is not otherwise publicly available.

Information Collection

Information Provided by Schools, Districts, and Agency Staff (“Sites”) The information provided on behalf of End Users to Service Provider is very minimal and includes: first name, last name, user name, password, and school/organization name.

 

Information Provided by Students and Users (“End Users”) Very minimal information is collected for End Users to register on the Service Provider’s services. Information required includes first name, last name, user name, password, and the Site’s name.

Once the End User registers and creates an account, the Service Provider collects information about the user’s activities. The information is used to provide reporting for school administration about user progress.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

•  With Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers

       who perform functions on our behalf to provide better services to you or data analysis.

• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our

      rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of others.

•  With Your Consent: We may share information with your consent or at your direction.

Service Provider prohibits using personally identifiable information in student records to engagein targeted advertising.

Cookies

The Service Provider may set and access to the Service Provider cookies on your computer. The Service Provider uses web beacons to access the Service Provider cookies inside and outside our network of web sites and in connection with the Services.

Confidentiality and Security

​

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide the Services to you or in order to do their jobs. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with our legal obligations to protect personal information about you.

Data Security

​

We are committed to protecting the security, integrity and confidentiality of the data through the use of physical, technical and procedural safeguards. Service Provider uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption and server authentication technology to protect data when Pathful Explore is accessed using a supported web browser.

​

We host each Site’s data, including End User data, in secure cloud-based server environments that use a firewall and other industry-standard technology in an effort to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. We also require unique account identifiers, user names, and passwords that must be entered each time Site Admins or End Users access Services. Real Life Learning, NFP maintains confidentiality as well as their End Users’ user names and

passwords.

The Internet is not perfectly secure, and Service Provider is not responsible for security breaches not reasonably within its control. Regardless, in the event of an unauthorized breach into the Services, Service Provider will immediately deactivate any affected Site’s licenses and accounts which will effectively shut down access to all affiliated data. Next, we will notify all impacted Sites and Site Admins to inform them of the occurrence of the breach. An internal investigation will immediately follow, and Sites will be informed about the scope of the breach as well as proposed solutions.

Data Retention

​

After program completion or termination, the Service Provider will retain Site and End User data for up to 90 days for the convenience of the Site, so that the Site may retain continuity of its Services should it choose to renew terms for Services. At the end of the data retention period, we securely delete and destroy all personal data affiliated with End Users.

However, at any time upon termination of Services or otherwise at their discretion, a Site may submit a written request to have their personal information provided to Service Provider deleted. We will comply with such written requests within thirty (30) days.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are made signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
